Die 4. internationale Konferenz INSECTA 2018 wird vom 5. bis 7. September 2018 in Gießen stattfinden. Ziel der Konferenz ist es, einen Überblick über den Stand der Technik und Perspektiven der Nutzung von Insekten als Lebens- und Futtermittel sowie im Non-Food-Bereich zu geben. Technologische, politische und ethische Aspekte werden diskutiert.

For scientists, representatives of related industries, policy makers, media and consumers the 4th INSECTA 2018 Conference will once again provide ample opportunities for a lively exchange on insects as food, feed and non-food.

INSECTA 2018 is jointly organized by Pilot Pflanzenöltechnologie Magdeburg e.V. (PPM) and Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB). This year, the LOEWE-Center and the Justus Liebig University Gießen are special partners and will host the conference.

The conference will focus on technical, commercial, ecological, political and ethical issues of insect utilization. The topic insect biotechnology will get special attention.
