INSECTA® 2016, the international symposium on insects as feed, food and non-food in Magdeburg is jointly organized by Pilot Pflanzenöltechnologie Magdeburg e.V. (PPM) and the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering Potsdam-Bornim (ATB). It is aimed to create an efficient platform for an exchange of stakeholders from science, economy and politics in the field of insects as feed, food and non-food.
The conference aims to give an overview of the state-of-the-art of insect technology, the prospects and constraints of the use of insects as feed, food and non-food in Europe. Technical, commercial, ecological, political and ethical issues will be discussed.
