EIP-AGRI projects
The European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability (EIP-AGRI) is a funding programme of the European Union.
It works to foster competitive and sustainable farming and forestry that 'achieves more and better from less'. It brings together innovation actors i.e. farmers, advisers, researchers, businesses, NGOs and others in agriculture, horticulture and forestry.Together they form Operational Groups (OG) tackling a practical problem or an opportunity which may lead to an innovation. An Operational Group is composed of those key actors that are in the best position to realise the project's goals, to share implementation experiences and to disseminate the outcomes broadly.
EIP-AGRI projects are financed by the H2020 framework programme and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD). The funding is provided by calls for applications in the federal states of Germany. For the EIP-AGRI funding period 2014 to 2020, a total of 25,5 Mio Euro was granted for the State of Brandenburg and Berlin on a cofunding basis of 20 per cent. Since 2015, 22 projects were started, among these six projects with ATB participation.
