Offers for Postdocs at ATB
After the doctorate, postdoctoral researchers (postdocs) may continue to qualify independently for a career within or outside academia. We offer the opportunity to sharpen the competence profile, to develop new research projects, to increase publication activities in journals and to present at conferences, to take on supervisory tasks for theses and to gain experience in the transfer of work results. ATB supports postdocs in applying for funding and scholarships for own projects and stays abroad.
Open posiitions are advertised on our job portal.
Targeted support for postdocs
Through cooperations with other institutions in the science region Berlin/Brandenburg (e.g. Humboldt Graduate School, Potsdam Graduate School, pearls - Potsdam Research Network), postdocs at ATB have access to a wide range of qualifications, especially key qualifications such as project management, supervision skills and teaching skills.
Our application-oriented research offers access to a broad network of partners from science and industry. Mentors support and advise postdocs in their career planning.
When deciding on a career in science, ATB supports scientists during the consolidation phase in increasingly developing scientific independence. Here, the challenges are to increase publication activities, to lead self aquired third-party funded projects or infrastructures, to build up an own working group and to contribute to the strategic development of the institute.
Postdoc representation
Together with the senior scientists of the ATB, the postdocs elect two scientific representatives, who bring their concerns to ATB's internal committee, the collegium.
Within the Leibniz Association, the postdocs are organized within the Leibniz Postdoc Network.
