Oct 25, 2018: ATB's doctoral researcher Graziele Grossi Bovi was selected for the Nestle Poster Award for her outstanding contribution on “Innovative approaches for modified atmosphere and humidity packaging of strawberries” at the 19th IUFoST World Congress of Food Science & Technology in Mumbai, India.
The award was presented by Dr.-Ing. Stefan Palzer, the Chief Technical Officer from the Nestle Research Center in Switzerland (photo, right) at IUFOST 2018, held Oct 23-27, 2018, in Mumbai, India.
In addition, Graziele Grossi Bovi was awarded a travel grant from the SCI Seligman APV Travel Bursary to participate in this conference.
PhD student Graziele Grossi Bovi is currently working on “Mathematical modelling for water vapor and condensation dynamics in fresh produce packaging” at Leibniz-Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB) in Potsdam at Department of Horticultural Engineering.
The graduate of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil and current scholarship holder from CNPq under the scope of the "science without border program" is a member of ATB's packaging group in the research program "Quality and safety of food and feed", supervised by Dr.-Ing. Pramod Mahajan. Her supervisor at Technical University Berlin is Prof. Dr.-Ing. Cornelia Rauh .
