July 15, 2015:  

As part of a finding visit, a delegation of scientists led by Prof Wenfu Chen of Shenyang Agricultural University, China, visited the institute. The focus of interest was on a the exchange in the field of biochar research.  

ATB scientists Dr. Andreas Meyer-Aurich, PhD cand. Benjamin Wirth (center) and Dr. Zhencai Sun (right) presented the rearch results achieved so far in ATB's biochar research. Together with Dr. Christiane von Haselberg, consultant for research coordination at the ATB, the possibilities of future cooperation were explored. 

Prof. Chen is among the leading scientists in the field of biochar research and plant breeding in China. He was honorary chair of the 2nd International Conference on Biochar and Green Agriculture, held in April 2015 in Nanjing, China. Further members of the delegation: Prof. Dr. Zhengjin Xu, Prof. Dr. Xiaori Han, Prof. Dr. Jun Meng, Asscociate Prof. Dr. Minghui Zhao and Accociate Prof. Liang Tang.
