"Working under one D-A-CH: The farmer in 4.0 mode" - this is the motto of the meeting to which ATB and the Expert Committee on Work Science in Agriculture of the VDI Division Max Eyth Society for Agricultural Engineering (VDI-MEG) are inviting.
Autonomously driving vehicles in the field, robots as harvest assistants or digital applications for the documentation of processes - digitisation in agriculture is associated with expectations in terms of making work easier and saving time. How does digitisation affect work processes on farms?
The focus of the 23rd Work Science Colloquium is the "The farmer in 4.0 mode - under one D-A-CH", (the German terminus Dach means roof) i.e. in the countries Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The "Arbeitswissenschaftliche Kolloquium" is being held in rotation in these three countries, with the work science topics of the host country shaping the thematic orientation of the respective colloquium.
Ludwig-Wilhelm-Ries-Prize 2022: On the occasion of the event, the Expert Committee on Work Science in Agriculture of the VDI Max Eyth Society for Agricultural Engineering will honour an outstanding young scientist with the Ludwig-Wilhelm-Ries-Prize. The prize, endowed with 750 Euros, is awarded in recognition of special achievements in the field of work science in agriculture.
