Measuring, assessment and mitigation of methane emissions are focus issues of the workshop held at ATB. The meeting is organized within the framework of the joint project "Innovation potentials for reducing emissions of greenhouse gases in the value chain milk“ (INNO Mil-CH4).
The project INNO Mil-CH4 will contribute to a better understanding of product-related greenhouse gas emissions in milk production. The project pursues a holistic approach - beginning with the production of animal feed, focussing on the design of feed rations and including emissions from excrements.
Among others, first results on the effect of different diets on the release of methane and fatty acids in milk will be presented and discussed.
