Nov 26, 2014: Scientists from the Leibniz-Institutes for Agricultural Engineering, Potsdam (ATB) and Farm Animal Biology, Dummerstorf (FBN) met with their French colleagues from the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique INRA, Rennes, to explore future cooperation in the field of climate- and animal-friendly animal husbandry.
The aim of the transnational meeting was the scientific exchange and the exploration of cooperation opportunities in the field of climate- and animal-friendly animal husbandry.
Focus topics were the approaches to reduce greenhouse gases from animal husbandry and adaptation strategies to climate change.
The workshop started with lectures and a tour through the experimental facilities at the FBN in Dummerstorf and was follwed on the 2nd day by a visit at the ATB in Potsdam.
