Nov 8-14, 2015: ATB at AGRITECHNICA in Hanover
At the world's largest trade fair for agricultural machinery and equipment ATB presented a novel mow chipper for efficient harvesting of short rotation coppices as well as a new design for mixed flow grain dryers.
New mower-chipper for short rotation coppice
ATB developed a new machine for harvesting short rotation coppices in rows. The device is characterized by simple structure and easy operation. It is attached in front of a tractor, separates and shreds the trees in a vertical position and throws the chips on a means of transport. It can be operated with tractors with an engine power of 75 kW and is suitable for the use on small-size acreage.
New apparatus geometry for mixed flow grain dryers
The novel drying process on basis of a new apparatus geometry dries grain efficiently, gently and homogeneously - and saves up to 30 % energy.
The new design for the mixed flow dryer is based on a modified dryer technique which combines several features:
Inclined side walls, which are tilted to the same vertical angle as the diagonal rows of air ducts at shifted arrangement.
The inlet and outlet channels for the drying air are installed in a way that grain and air flow can be adjusted optimally to one another.
The cereal grains cross the dryer in different trajectories with equal velocities.
