Nov 14, 2019: At the world's largest agricultural technology trade fair in Hanover, ATB is presenting the model of an autonomously moving, photovoltaic-powered robot for weed control in bushberry plantations. In the future, the "SunBot" will autonomously operate in the orchards and thus improve work productivity and cost efficiency.
The team in the SunBot project (funding: EIP-Agri) is currently developing an autonomous e-tractor using market-available and new components. The mowing will be carried out by an innovative, performance-efficient electric cutterbar. Electromechanical auxiliary drives will ensure the compatibility of existing equipment. The tractor is to draw its energy from photovoltaics in a highly autonomous manner via a newly developed charging station.
ATB presents first results at AgriTechnica in Hanover.
In the SunBot project, partners from research, industry and practice work closely together. The close cooperation aims at practicable technical solutions and a fast technology transfer.
ATB is a guest at the BMEL booth in hall 21 booth C28.
Come along - we are looking forward to your visit!
