Oct 1-3, 2024: HPBB 2024

High Pressure Bioscience and Biotechnology addresses the elucidation of effects, mechanistic understanding and knowledge-based exploitation of high pressure induced changes in various biological systems. It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 12th conference on High Pressure Bioscience and Biotechnology (HPBB2024) which will be held in Lyon from October 1-3, 2024.

The International Association of High Pressure Bioscience and Biotechnology (HPBB) was established in 1998.The HPBB conference is a meeting among fellows in high pressure in the many scientific disciplines covering bioscience and biotechnology. HPBB2024 is a great opportunity for presenting and discussing research and the latest developments relevant to applications of high pressure across the HP subspecialties : food science, biochemistry & biophysics, microbiology & cell biology.
The conference will bring together scientists, students and professionals to maximise the application of high pressure technology and to learn about exciting research in high pressure bioscience and biotechnology.

Many ATB scientist will present their work on high pressure treatment on fresh produce.

Programme

The programme embraces all HP investigations in the three general themes:

  • Food sciences
  • Marine science and microbiology
  • Biophysics and biotechnology

Venue

HPBB2024 will be held in Lyon, the gastronomy capital of the world. Lyon is located in the eastern part of France, two hours from Paris by high-speed train.
HPBB2024 will be held at INSA (National Institute for Applied Sciences). INSA Lyon is a French grande école and engineering school. The university is located on the La Doua – LyonTech campus, in a cluster of science and technological universities and Grandes Écoles in Villeurbanne, a suburb of Lyon. The school was founded in 1957 to train highly qualified engineers, support continuing education, and conduct research. The five-year curriculum aims at training engineers who possess human qualities and are well versed in the primary areas of science and engineering, in 10 differents fields from mechanical engineering to Biosciences.
