ATB-Colloquium:
Modeling, simulation and evaluation of the process chains grain harvesting and preservation. (in German)
Speakers: Hilke Risius, Annette Prochnow, Thomas Hoffmann, Christian Ammon
Grain harvesting is one of the most weather-dependent processes in agriculture. Grain moisture contents decide on machinery use and costs and determine the necessary grain harvesting and preservation capacities of farms.
We will present new approaches for modeling grain moisture contents, show changes in grain harvesting periods, available harvesting hours and required machinery capacities due to climate change and give an outlook on the assessment of process chains for grain harvesting and conservation.
