The time has come. On 12th of November, AGRITECHNICA in Hanover opens its doors again. In 23 halls and an additional outdoor area, 2,600 exhibitors from 53 countries will be presenting new products and innovations from their sectors at the world's leading trade fair for agriculture. For farmers worldwide, it offers a forum for the future issues of plant production and provides a place to inform, discuss and network.
Under this year's trade fair main theme GREEN PRODUCTIVITY, we are exhibiting our SunBot mower at the stand of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
In the future, GREEN PRODUCTIVITY should enable increased productivity by reducing the amount of uses and intensity of operating resources in order to protect nature and the environment. The central task of agriculture is food security. However, this must be considered in the long term. Above all, the focus on a more sustainable use of our natural resources such as soil, water, atmosphere and biodiversity must be further strengthened. In practice, the combination of expertise, innovation and technology will be of great importance for sustainability.
AGRITECHNICA 2023 presents and demonstrates ideas with which GREEN PRODUCTIVITY can be put into practice on farms.
The Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy will be on site again this year to present the first electrically powered mower of our SunBot. The Sunbot is an electrically powered Hoftrac, which, after four years of research and development, can mow autonomously in berry orchards. It has the ability to drive autonomously through the rows of bush berries, mowing the undergrowth in the tramline and directing the clippings to the plants for nutritional supply. The vehicle is fully electrically powered. State-of-the-art sensor technology enables navigation by day and night with an accuracy of around 5-10 cm. The autonomous operation enables frequent mowing of the bushes, which has a positive effect on the microclimate of the bushes and thus on the yields. Visit us at our stand to find out more about how the SunBot works and to have a closer look at the mower, which is the first electrically operable attachment part.
