ATB young scientist Nikos Tsoulias defended his doctoral thesis with excellence on 12 November. The disputation took place at the Agricultural University of Athens, Department of Natural Resources Management and Agricultural Engineering.
Nikos Tsoulias has done research for his PhD on sensor-based plant status assessment in the field of precision horticulture. As part of this work, he has, among other things, published three scientific papers in journals as first author, co-authored several other papers and has written several conference papers for IEEE and ISHS conferences.
The titel of his thesis is: “Extracting and evaluating plant traits spatially and temporally using 3D sensing in apple trees”.
His supervisor at the ATB was Dr. Manuela Zude-Sasse.
