The 3rd International Conference on Agriculture and Food Engineering CAFEi2016 “Sustaining Agriculture, Preserving Life” will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is organized by Universiti Putra Malaysia and by ATB as one of the co-organizers.
The Third International Conference on Agricultural and Food Engineering (CAFEi2016) will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on August 23-25, 2016. It will be hosted by the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering and the Department of Process and Food Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia.
ATB together with International Society for Horticulture Science (ISHS), American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), the Malaysian Society of Agricultural Engineers (MSAE) is co-organizer of the conference.
ATB scientist Prof. Dr. Manuela Zude is member of the International Advisory Board.
Since years, ATB maintains an intensive cooperation with the UPM. This provides the framework for collaborative research projects such as the project "Biochar in agriculture - perspectives for Germany and Malaysia" and the exchange of scientists.
The main objective of CAFEi2016 is to provide a forum to present and discuss innovation in agricultural and food engineering to meet the needs of humankind sustainably, in line with the theme of the conference “Sustaining Agriculture, Preserving Life”. The conference can become a platform in finding new and more sustainable ways of addressing global food security issue to meet the need of growing population and changing lifestyle.
The conference adresses scientists, engineers, researchers, academicians, government authorities, economies, architects, journalist and entrepreneurs from all over the world to present their ideas, innovation or local solutions to gain more understanding about problem of feeding the world in the future. This conference will be a venue for critical discussion, potential solutions and promotions of recent innovation in agricultural and food engineering to feed the world in 2050.
