ATB has been disconnected from the internet since Wednesday afternoon, 27 November 2024. This affects in particular services for communication with external parties, such as the telephone and e-mail system and the website. Internal communication is ensured. There are currently no indications of a cyber security incident at the ATB.
Background: ATB is connected to the German Research Network (DFN) via the University of Potsdam. According to current information, the university had to shut down its network connection on Wednesday afternoon due to an error. It is currently working on analyzing and rectifying the error.
Solution: In the event that the university is unable to restore network access in the foreseeable future, ATB is working on an additional solution that will be available on Monday afternoon, December 2nd at the earliest. However, a construction-related power outage on the institute's premises in Potsdam-Bornim, scheduled for Friday evening and lasting several hours, is making this work even more difficult.
