Guests at the International Tuesday October 12th are the Director of the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB), Prof. Dr Barbara Sturm and the proven beer expert and owner of BIERLESE in Potsdam, Eike Neubarth.
Barbara Sturm, who holds a doctorate in process engineering, will talk about the Germans‘ favorite drink and about the socio-cultural history of beer brewing and beer consumption in times of climate change. Although ATB does not research on beer, the "liquid bread" is one of the successful products and a prime example of bioeconomic value creation.
Mr. Neubarth explains the nuances of beer while we taste it: What is the difference between Pilsner and Helles? What is actually Zwickel and Bock beer? How does the Gulf Stream influence the way beer is brewed?
Adam Wendler, multi-instrumentalist from the Canadian town of Goderich, joins the event. His songs combine pop elements with folk, country, indie and a touch of rock.
