The greening of agriculture is an important challenge for our farming sector, which is gaining in importance not only due to the Green Deal, but also due to ecosystem requirements and the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture. As part of the D4AgEcol coordination and support programme, funded by the EU Commission, we are investigating the possibilities, prospects and limits of this process.
Together with you, we want to find out whether and how the use of digital technologies can promote agroecology and sustainable soil management. Help us to identify the relevant drivers, barriers and obstacles to the use of such technologies in practice!
Workshop Digitalisation as a trailblazer for agroecology
Site-specific fertilisation in arable farming with a focus on the Yara N-Sensor
Time: 19 June 2024; 11:00 - 16:00
Location: ATB Fieldlab for Digital Agriculture Marquardt, Hauptstraße 36B 14476 Potsdam
Together with farmers, stakeholders and researchers, we are analysing the potential contribution that the sensor can make to agroecology. We are also using the ADOPT tool to determine the technology's adoption potential.
We are networking with other projects on digitalisation in crop production, such as the Horizon Europe Actions: Fostering cross-border knowledge exchange and co-creation on sustainable soil and farm management, SoilSoil-X-ChangeBiomonitor for CAP and the BMEL's Future Farms funding programme: DigiMixDigiMix-PA. You can find out more about the projects and current research activities at the parallel field day at the Marquardt research site.
