15th January 2013: Representatives of a youth village project in Israel, the Israeli Ministry of Education as well as the Volcani Institute of Agricultural Research visited the ATB. The aim of the visit was information exchange in the field of measuring and reducing emissions from animal husbandry as well as the use of agricultural residues for bioenergy production.
The study tour is dedicated to gather ideas for viable technologies to build an ecological educational youth village in Israel. In youth villages about 250 young people are living with their carers and families. Besides the vision to develop an environmental learning youth village, the village should serve as a model for innovative environmental developments and future-oriented living in rural communities.
The study trip, organized by Ecologic Institute jointly with the Children and Youth Aliyah, is at the invitation of the German Foreign Office.
