March 14, 2016: An interview with Birgit Rumpold (ATB) concerning insects as an alternative protein source is online on the homepage "the best of all possible worlds" - “inner worlds” of the Leibniz Association.
The reason for the interview "butterflies in the stomach" is the continuing success of her publication "Potential and challenges of insects as innovative source for food and feed production" in the journal "Innovative Food Science and Emerging Technologies (IFSET)". Since the article was published in 2013, it is still the most frequently downloaded article of the journal.
2016 is Leibniz year. To mark the 370th birthday and the 300th anniversary of the death of the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz the Leibniz Association organizes a large theme year in 2016. Under the title "the best of all possible worlds" - a Leibniz quote – the research organization shows the diversity and topicality of the research of its 88 institutes.
The homepage "the best of all possible worlds" reflects the diversity of the Leibniz Association in four different "worlds".
