6. Sept. 2022: Kick-off Meeting "Digitalisation for Agroecology"

Can digitalization pave the way for agroecological farming systems in Europe? What are the drivers, barriers and risks of digital technologies for a transformation towards agroecology? These are the questions addressed by the just launched EU project D4AgEcol - Digitalisation for Agroecology, coordinated by ATB. On Sept 6, the stakeholders will come together for a first working meeting at the ATB.

The project "Digitalization for Agroecology" (D4AgEcol) will investigate the potential of digitalization as an enabler for agroecological farming systems in Europe. The central task is to make a holistic assessment of digital tools and technologies, based on agroecological indicators, economic framework conditions and user response analysis. Drivers, barriers and risks of digital technologies for a transformation towards agroecology will be identified. With partners from seven countries, the project covers a wide range of pedoclimatic zones in Europe.
