Summary
The 3DForEcoTech COST-Action aims to build a strong network of scientists and stakeholders (i.e. practitioners) as well as sensor manufacturers to synchronise knowledge, develop general protocols and algorithms for surveying forest ecosystem condition and functioning, and make these novel technologies accessible to a wide audience. The questions include tree cultures in general. Specifically, 3DForEcoTech will develop protocols for data collection, processing and fusion for forest inventory and ecological applications and establish databases with open data and open source algorithms.
