December, 13 2024: Workshop: potential of Yara-N-Sensor technology

The Yara N-Sensor is one of the first precision farming technologies to be introduced in Germany. More than 800 devices are in the hands of German farmers who use this technology to apply nutrients more precisely and utilise site-specific potential. While the principle of the Yara N-Sensor is widely known through specialised media, there is uncertainty among farmers regarding its operational benefits.

During the first workshop on the Yara N-Sensor in June this year, we were able to discuss the agro-ecological potential of the Yara N-Sensor with experts from practice and research as well as the technology developers. Now we want to analyse with you the acceptance potential of the Yara N sensor and the expected spread of the sensor over time based on 22 questions on the characteristics of the sensor and an assessment of the effects of the use of the technology by farmers.

We use the ADOPT model (https://adopt.csiro.au/) for this purpose, which deals with questions about the advantage of using the technology, learnability, visibility of the advantage and other influencing variables and thus provides information about the acceptance potential and the duration up to maximum dissemination.

Please note that we reserve the right to use all information and discussions during the workshop for study purposes, whereby we will not mention the names of the participants for data protection reasons.

We invite arable farmers and agricultural advisors to take part in this workshop - regardless of whether you already know the technology or have no prior knowledge. You are all very welcome!
