Summary
I4S aims at developing a sensor-based system on bases of which in particular recommendations for a site-specific fertilization management should be provided and which should contribute to improving soil functions and to reduce environmental pollution. The focus is on the nutrients N, P, K, water and humus. Using newly evolving mobile soil sensors and models of soil processes high spatial resolution information is obtained. The information provided will be used for dveloping a user-friendly decision support system for the control of N, P, K and liming - differentiated for almost every square meter of ground.
