June 6, 2018: ADVANCEFUEL auf der EUSEW

On 6 June, ADVANCEFUEL will host an interactive stall at the Networking Village of the European Sustainable Energy Week in Brussels looking for interaction and exchange with stakeholders in the renewable energy sector.

ADVANCEFUEL wants to engage with stakeholders from the entire biofuel value chain. Therefore, the project is setting up a series of consultations and events to allow for discussion of barriers to the market roll-out of advanced fuels and possible solutions. Having a stall at the EUSEW-Energy Fair gives ADVANCEFUEL partners the chance to present the project to a relevant audience and to engage stakeholders in the project’s activities:

ADVANCEFUEL has already launched its first questionnaire on its dedicated Stakeholder Platform to gather information on the main identified barriers in the advanced biofuel market, and they are about to launch a second questionnaire related to sustainability standardisation. Both of these questionnaires will be presented and discussed at the fair in an interactive manner.

The ADVANCEFUEL project will look into liquid advanced biofuels – defined as liquid biofuels produced from lignocellulosic feedstocks from agriculture, forestry and waste – and other liquid renewable fuels, produced from hydrogen and CO2 streams, provided that hydrogen is generated from renewable sources, by using renewable power for the electrolysis of water to gain hydrogen for further processes. This definition covers both renewable alcohols, such as ethanol, butanol and methanol but also renewable diesel, renewable jet fuels, dimethyl ether, as well as liquefied biomethane.

ATB is partner in the project ADVANCEFUEL which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement N.º764799.
