Together we are laying the foundations for a sustainable future! On 5 May 2025, the cornerstone ceremony for the Leibniz Innovation Farm for Sustainable Bioeconomy (InnoHof®) will take place on the ATB Campus Groß Kreutz.

The InnoHof® is a state-of-the-art, modular research infrastructure coordinated by ATB that offers scientists from the region and abroad a wide range of opportunities to conduct research on pressing issues in the bio-based circular economy together with stakeholders from industry and practice. InnoHof® has been funded with 25 million euros in start-up financing from ZifoG funds from the Brandenburg Ministry of Science since 2021. 14.5 million of this will go towards the construction of the complex in Groß Kreutz, for which the ATB is now laying the foundation stone.

The new complex will significantly expand ATB's existing infrastructure and consist of a biorefinery with a plant fibre pilot plant, laboratory, office and seminar rooms as well as a hall for high-quality agricultural technology and research materials. The direct neighbourhood to the ATB's long-standing cooperation partner, the Teaching and Research Institute for Animal Breeding and Animal Husbandry, enables an excellent link to agricultural biomass flows and specific practical issues. The new buildings will be constructed in a climate-friendly and sustainable manner using wood and will be powered by photovoltaics.

InnoHof® already brings together over 30 national and international research projects with a total funding volume of around 7 million euros per year. It forms an important building block in the German bioeconomy research landscape.
