On our website you can register for events by using a contact form. 

We will process any data that you enter into the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1) (a) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 
In order to successfully register via our contact form, you must therefore agree to our Private policy.

Which data do we collect?

In order to process your registration for administrative purposes, we collect and process your personal data as follows:

Required fields:
First name, last name, institution, street and house number, zip code and city, country, e-mail address

Optional fields:
Title, Department / Faculty, URL, Phone, Fax, VAT Number

And depending on the requirements for the specific event further organizational relevant information concerning:
your function, your poster / lecture, your desire to participate in joint meals or excursions, in the case of staggered participation fees information on your status (eg "studying").

The payment with credit card, which is offered at the users profile,  is processed via the payment service provider PaySquare Deutschland SE. The ATB does not come in contact with any data, entered for payment via credit card. The data transfer is SSL/TSL encrypted.

How do we use your data?

After you entered the registration data and accepted our private policy we export the data from the website to our local database for further processing.

We use your information to organize the event:
- to answer your question and any follow-up questions concerning the event,
- to print some of the data (name, institution, e-mail address) in participant lists / in the program booklet,
- if necessary, to use your contact data (name, postal address, e-mail address) to send you event-relevant materials (eg program, conference proceedings, invoice),
- to pass on some of the data (name, institution) to the moderators of the sessions / forums / workshops,
- to pass on your data to cooperating institutions, as far as this is necessary to provide the event related services.

If applicable, we use some of the data (name, institution, e-mail address, postal address) to send you information such as updating and follow-up information on the event, invitations to subsequent scientific events, references to publications published in the context of the event, as well as, if applicable, information on events of cooperating organizations).

A transfer of the data to other third parties does not take place.

Information, revoking your consent, deletion - Which rights do you have concerning your data?

You may revoke your consent for the processing and storage of your data at any time. An informal email to datenschutz@spam.atb-potsdam.de making this request is sufficient. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed. We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains. Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.
