08th January 2013: Susanne Melior, deputy chairman of the SPD group in the Brandenburg state parliament, and MdL Martina Gregory Ness visited the ATB today. Dr. Jürgen Kern, coordinator of the ATB research program "Material and energetic use of biomass", focused on the possibilities of developing bioenergy in Brandenburg, and the current state of research in the field of biochar. Currently, ATB explores in several research projects the potentials of using biochar as a soil additive.
