What does the future hold for agricultural and horticultural field experiments in Brandenburg? This question is the focus of a new brochure produced by the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE) in collaboration with the coordinating office at ILU – Institute for Food and Environmental Research as part of the AnpaG project. The brochure provides insights into the current state of the experimental system in Brandenburg and presents visions for the future.
As part of the project, HNEE conducted interviews, surveys and a workshop to determine the current structures and self-image of the stakeholders in Brandenburg. These include institutes with affiliated experimental plots, as well as farmers, gardeners and fruit growers, consultants and representatives of education and training. This revealed not only wishes and demands, but also indications of a lack of implementation in the work of the experimental stations.
In addition to visions for the future, the brochure provides insights into 18 Brandenburg research stations, including our Fieldlab for Digital Agriculture in Marquardt (Potsdam, Germany) and the Leibniz Innovation Farm for Sustainable Bioeconomy.
The brochure ‘What does the future of agricultural and horticultural field research in Brandenburg look like?’ is now available for free download.
