This year, the International Green Week will once again open its doors and invite people from all over the world to Berlin for the world's most important trade fair for food, agriculture and horticulture. In addition to numerous companies, science will also be on show from 17 to 26 January 2025. You will find three of our research projects in the hall of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture: JaetRobi, WetNetBB and ET4D. Come and have a look.
‘Our research in the field of sustainable bioeconomy aims to meet current challenges and create innovative ways for an efficient, environmentally friendly agricultural and food industry. We are delighted to be able to provide an insight into our diverse, interdisciplinary research at the International Green Week 2025 in order to discuss these topics and explore opportunities together. Because a joint commitment from everyone - from industry, agriculture and research - is necessary to achieve these goals,’ says Prof Barbara Sturm, Scientific Director of the ATB, and cordially invites you to visit the various ATB projects.
JaetRobi aims to enable herbicide-free, automated weed control in direct-sown vegetable crops: for individual horticultural businesses, with practical equipment. The aim is to make weed detection more universal and more widely applicable and to improve the stability and area performance of weed removal tools. Hall 23a at Stand A1.1.
The WetNetBB project is intended to act as a catalyst for a large-scale transformation to sustainable peatland utilisation. The overall aim of the project is to create a network of model and demonstration projects for the use of wet fens with representative fen areas, biomass utilisation paths and relevant stakeholders in Brandenburg. Hall 23a at Stand A6.
The aim of ET4D is to expand and validate an existing, relatively inexpensive system for monitoring barn climate and emissions (e.g. for dairy cattle). An app or website will be used to provide target group-orientated reports on the conditions in the housing system and their effects, with a focus on the environment. Hall 23a at stand T3.
