The circular bioeconomy plays a key role in the sustainable and future-oriented transformation of society and the economy. Dr. Christian Patermann is considered a pioneer of the bioeconomy and founded the first German Bioeconomy Council in 2009 with a number of fellow campaigners. We are delighted to welcome Dr. Patermann to the ATB and cordially invite you to our colloquium:

"Recent developments in the bioeconomy in Europe and the world - perspectives for the ATB in times of polycrises"

In addition to Dr. Patermann's impulses, young scientists from the ATB will present their approaches and methods for the bioeconomy. The common goal is to think about the bioeconomy in a future-oriented way and to enable a social transformation.

ATB has worked as a driver and pioneer for the circular bioeconomy in recent decades. Our vision is a bio-based circular economy that produces healthy food for all, operates on the basis of renewable raw materials and enables the shared health of humans, animals and the environment.
