June 14, 2014: ATB presented research and information at the Potsdam Science Fair.
Despite the bad weather, interest of visitors - old or young - was enormous. Hands-on activities and interesting topics attracted many knowledge seekers to the ATB booth on the grounds of the University of Potsdam in front of the New Palace.
ATB informed, inter alia, on sensor-based methods for non-invasive quality determination in fruit and vegetables, about bio-materials such as lactic acid for the production of bioplastics, or the measurement of greenhouse gases in agriculture and possibilities for their reduction.
In addition, visitors were able to expand their knowledge of little-known species of plants, such as energy suppliers like silphie or the the common ragweed which is rather feared due to its allergenic potential...
